We had a really good day! This morning, the students started their day with Mme Akinpelu. After recess, we had ELA where we continued with our new unit on different cultures. Today, we focused on our history involving residential schools. The students learned the elements of a scene within a book and how to pick out the information. As a group, we read scenes from I Am Not a Number and picked our the elements of different scenes. At 12:40, we started our new unit in Math on data, statistics and probability. Today, we learned how to come up with good questions to collect data. We followed three simple rules: write a question that is not left to interpretation, that has a choice for everyone and that is not biased. They complete their own little surveys using these rules. Finally, to end the day, they had Sciences Humaines with Mme Wood.
