Friday, April 20th

We had a really great end to our week! This morning, the students led our Easter Liturgy with Mme Lizee's grade 2 classroom. I was very impressed with how they did! They all read great and showed leadership by helping the grade 2's. At 10:00, we went to the library for our weekly book exchange. After recess, they had 30 mins of Phys. Ed. with Mme Barthel. Once they returned from the gym, they had time to practice their songs on their Ukulele's. We also went over all the different things I will be evaluating for this unit. At 12:40, we had Science. Today, we read about ancient technologies that were used for flight, such as arrows and spears. Once finished, they worked in groups to try and make a balloon flight straight when you let the air out. Each group got the same materials and now they have to use those materials and what they know based around the forces of flight to make their balloon fly as straight as possible. Finally, to end the day, we had another Math lesson based on triangles. Today, we learned how to name the triangles based on their angles.
