Wednesday, April 18th

We had an awesome day! This morning, the students started their day with Mme Akinpelu for French. At 10:00, we went to Mme Lizee's room to practice for our upcoming Easter Liturgy. Things are coming together! After recess, they had Phys. Ed. with Mme Barthel. At 12:40, we started our new mini-unit for ELA on Suspense. As a group, we watched a couple of movie clips from different movies that are considered suspenseful. We figured out what makes them suspenseful. Once finished, we read the first part of a story on mountain climbing. Using what we found about suspense, we pin-pointed what makes the story suspenseful. Finally, the students did a mini little research activity on a famous mountain climber to share with their other classmates using Padlet. To end the day, we started our geometry unit and focused on triangles. We learned about the three different types of triangles and the characteristics of each.
