Monday, February 26th

I hope everyone had a good break! We are now back in the swing of things and have started where we left off! This morning, the students had Mme Akinpelu for French. At 10:00, we did a little revision based on what we have learned for Math and started lesson 3. They are learning how to compare and order fractions. After recess, they had Phys. Ed. with Mme Barthel. At 12:40, we had our Lenten liturgy. There were a group of grade 8 leaders along with Mme Appell that led the liturgy. They did a great job! Once we returned, I gave the students a little bit of time to try and finish up our Religion projects. We also, continued with our book club. Now that they have read section 2 of their novels, we are now working on creating memes for our group members. They are going to create a meme related to their novel and write a one paragraph description explaining why they chose that particular image and text.

Homework/News:

- Religion - Podcasts will be due on Friday, March 2nd

- Social - True Cost all questions due Wed, Feb. 28th

- French - Benchmarking will start Wednesday, Feb. 28th. Those participating in Concours will be presenting tomorrow at 10:15!!!

- Red Cross Pink Shirt Day on February 28th to promote anti-bullying.

- Skating - We will be going skating on Friday, March 2nd from 1-2:15. Please ensure students have their skates, helmets and proper clothing.
