Monday, October 23rd

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know we were really busy! This morning, the students started their day with Mme Akinpelu. At 10:00, we completed our 4th lesson for our math unit on "Understanding Numbers". The students learned the difference between prime and composite numbers. We also explored factors. After recess, the students had Phys. Ed. with Mme Barthel. At 12:40, we had ELA. We split the class up into sections today. First, we started by reading our "read aloud" novel called Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. Once finished, the students worked on their FlipGrid #3 post based on the documentary of the author of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling. If they finished that, they continued their research for their "I Wonder" project. Finally, to end the day, they had Science with M. Higiro on how to classify different types of animals.

Homework/News:

- ELA - Read Section 5 by next Monday (the rest of the book). Also, if they haven't done so, they will need to finish their Blog Post #3 by tomorrow.

- French - Dictee for Monday, Oct. 30th

- Picture orders are due today.
