Friday, October 13th

We had a great end to our week! This morning, the students started their day with Mme Akinpelu. After recess, we finished up everything for section 2 of our Book Club. The students completed their FlipGrid posts based on two videos of authors explaining how they come up with ideas for their books. We also went over our new Mini-Project called "What Am I Wondering?" The students are going to come up with a question of something that they have wondered before. They will need to complete a mini-presentation based on that question. At 12:40, we had Math. Today, we learned how to solve word problems using big numbers. The students were allowed to use calculators today; however, they needed to understanding which operation to use in order to solve the problem. At 1:40, M. Higiro complete a Religion lesson with the students. Finally, to end our day, the students had Social with Mme Wood.

Homework/News:

- ELA - Finish reading section 3 of book and FlipGrid #2 by Monday.

- French - Oral presentations of their Animal projects begin Monday.

- Fully Alive - Puzzles due Oct. 17th

- Math - Unit 2 Lesson 2 due on Monday!
