I hope you all had a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends. We all have so much to be thankful for! This morning, the students started the day with M. Higiro. He completed a lesson with them about Exodus and Noah's Ark. The idea is for students to better understand the book of Exodus. After recess, the students had 30 mins of Fully Alive with Mme Appell. Once I returned, we started our new unit for Math called Understanding Numbers. Today, we focused on big numbers (up to a trillion). The students learned multiple ways to represent these types of big numbers. At 12:40, they had French with Mme Akinpelu. Finally, to end our day, we continued with section 2 of Book Club. Today, we focused on the reading strategy "Visualization". The students had to write a paragraph about a time where they used visualization to help them understand a portion of their book.

Homework/News:

- ELA - Read section 3 of their book by Monday, Oct. 16th and Blog Post #2 - Visualization is due on Thursday.

- French - verb workbook must be signed by Oct. 12th, Animal Project is due Friday, Oct. 13th.

- Fully Alive - Puzzles due Tuesday, Oct. 17th

- Social - Sac culturel presentations on Thursday and Friday of this week.
