We had a great day!! This morning, we had our Orange Shirt Day Liturgy to remember the Residential School Survivors. Once finished, we complete a buddy activity with Mme Lizee's grade twos. The students create a mosaic of a stained glass window which showed different aspects of the First Nations/Metis culture. We will be learning more about this in the months to come. After recess, they had Phys. Ed. with Mme Barthel and Social with Mme Wood. At 12:40, all the band students had their first full band day at Riffel High School. We only had 9 students left here at school! Those who stayed, worked on their Name Sculpture for Arts. Ed. They are doing a fantastic job! Finally, to end the day, we started our Assignment #2 for Book Club. For this assignment, they are making a connection between a song and a character. They have to choose a song that they feel could represent any character of their book and answer three questions. They will post the song and their answers for their group members to see!
