Week one is now done!

We had a great start to our school year! We have a fantastic group and I look forward to a great year. Thank you to all the parents who came out last night for Meet The Teacher Night!

This morning, we created our identify vision boards using an online poster creating app. The students had to identify different things about themselves regarding to culture and identity. After recess, they had Phys. Ed. with Mme Barthel for 30 mins. Once they returned, M. Higiro completed a mini-lesson on his culture and where he is from (Rwanda). At 12:40, we completed our third lesson for Math. The students learned how to create an expression with a variable to show certain patterns. At 1:45, we finished our Religion activity on Digital Disciples and what that means when using devices, internet and social media. Finally, to end the day, we went over Fire Drill and Lockdown procedures. We also set up our Grade 6 folders with all subject areas so that we are ready to start saving documents and work.

Homework:

- Math - Lesson 4 is due on Monday

- French Writing - 5 a 7

- French English dictionary for French class
